It can greatly improve the degree of hydration of the bentonite soil in the drilling mud.The degree of dispersion and hydration of the particles in the drilling mud fluid water depends on the amount of the electrolyte in the drilling mud, the time, the temperature, the number and concentration of the surface-replaceable cations.It can save more than 30% bentonite if applied shear pump in case the same other conditions in the jet mud mixer system.

The shear pump allows the polymer to be cut and hydrated as soon as possible.The directly added polymer is not easy to hydrate because of its huge molecular mass. Therefore, the polymer is required to be pre-sheared. Shear pump can provide high shear efficiency, speed up the polymer dilution, hydration process.

Shear pumps provide higher flow and head lift to meet the requirements for the preparation and handling of mud.

Horizontal directional drilling(HDD) is mainly applied in the oil and gas pipelines through rivers, lakes, transport routes, railway hubs and other obstacles.

HDD drilling mud mainly refers to the mixing liquid with a certain density and viscosity made up of water,a certain proportion of bentonite and other chemical additives. In the horizontal directional drilling process, we use the characteristics of bentonite to provide protection the hole wall, adsorption of fine sand and cuttings and keeping the hole wall wet and lubrication and so on.
